Grande Prairie Physiotherapy and Massage FAQ
  • What is physiotherapy?

Physiotherapy is a hands-on approach to helping you heal. It is an all natural way to stretch your tissues, work on joint mobilization, recoup after an injury, improve your flexibility, and so much more.

  • What is our process?

Our process is made up of 4 basic steps:

    1. Exam and Diagnosis. We take the patient’s history, form a hypothesis, perform tests to prove that hypothesis correct/incorrect, and then decide on the most effective treatment/create a treatment plan.
    2. We minimize pain. This is when we use the special laser/shockwave therapy.
    3. We work on the deeper muscle for stability. This will focus on the muscle that was damaged.
    4. We work on the larger muscle for stability. Depending on the goal, we help to make sure you are ready to return to work or return to sport so that you will not get injured again.

Prenatal: Prior to birth, pregnancy can be stressful but a prenatal massage works to relax your muscles and calm your nerves which helps to reduce discomfort.
